ND Listens is a student engagement center designed to listen to, learn about, and love Notre Dame alumni, parents, and friends.

Submit a request

To request a phone call, prayer at the Grotto, private tour, handwritten note for a friend, or any other meaningful experience, please send your request and contact information to an ND Listens student at listens@nd.edu.
ND Listens caller Allie Rudin ‘20 spoke with Granny Lynn one evening and learned that she was coming to campus the following week for the very last time due to a recent cancer diagnosis. We wanted to make Lynn’s last trip to campus magical for her and her family. Fr. Doyle (the priest for Dillon Hall where her husband lived during his time at ND) and Allie met Lynn at the grotto to give her a gift and say a special prayer. This is what we strive to do for alumni, parents, and friends at ND Listens - listen to stories, learn how to improve relationships, and love by creating meaningful experiences.

I grew up in a small suburb outside of Boston, MA, where I enjoyed playing soccer and tennis in high school. Since coming to Notre Dame, I have been involved in service activities through the Center for Social Concerns and participated in undergraduate research on campus. My favorite ND memory was spending a semester in Puebla, Mexico where I studied abroad and was able to complete an internship doing clinical rotations in public hospitals.

I am originally from Cincinnati, Ohio but now I call Cavanaugh Hall my home! So many of my favorite memories are random moments in the halls of that building or at flag football practices, and I really found my best friends here, too. If I'm not in Cav, you can find me soaking up the nice weather on the quads (before the permacloud comes) or in NDH eating way too much food. I'm also the treasurer for the Junior Class Council, work for the admissions office, and will always encourage people to get involved with the Center for Social Concerns.

I am from the western suburbs of Chicago and have wanted to attend Notre Dame ever since I was a little girl. I love reading, writing, music and rice crispies from the dining halls. This summer, I wrote for a newspaper as the Entertainment and Outdoors reporter and I continue to keep busy freelancing for various publications during the year.

I am a current senior from San Francisco, California. I used to live in Farley Hall but now I live off campus in a house with 8 girls. At Notre Dame, I play club lacrosse, dance with the Transpose Collective, and serve as a project leader for SIBC. My favorite memory at ND would probably be the first snowball fight on south quad freshman year. In my free time I love running around the lakes, drinking iced coffee, and playing flag football with the Farley girls.

Now that I’ve been on campus for 6 weeks now, I am starting to adjust, but still miss home and all the memories I associate with it. However, my favorite memory since I’ve been on campus is running in the Domer Run 10k!

Hi! I am from Florham Park, NJ, so I live about an hour from NYC and an hour from the Jersey Shore. At Notre Dame, I play Club Lacrosse, participate in a few business clubs, and am part of the Adopt-a-Family for Christmas Initiative. I am obsessed with football weekends, and some of my favorite ND memories are introducing my friends to my huge family during these special weekends. I joined ND Listens because I am really interested in development and all of the different aspects that go into fundraising (and also just really love talking about Notre Dame).

I am from a town outside of Pittsburgh (which is totally underrated). I currently enjoy playing on my Dorm's interhall sports teams, helping out with hall government, doing research through the Notre Dame Initiative for Global Development, and taking part in a few civil engineering extracurriculars. My favorite thing about ND is the uniquely amazing people, and my favorite memory is listening to music with my section-mates (simple, yes I know).

Hi! My name is Ryan Mullin, and I am currently a junior at Notre Dame, though I'm originally from Cleveland, Ohio. Here at Notre Dame, aside from ND Listens, I am involved in student government in a number of ways, my favorite role of which is being the Secretary of the Class of 2021. In addition to that, I'm apart of JIFFI, or the Jubilee Initiative for Financial Inclusion, which is a student run non-profit here at ND that offers low interest payday loans to the less fortunate members of the South Bend community. My favorite Notre Dame memory would probably have to be the Michigan football game during my sophomore year. Having ESPNs College Gameday here on campus was such a cool experience that I'll never forget!

HI! I’m from Austin, TX so South Bend weather was a bit of a shock, but Notre Dame is definitely the place for me! In my free time on campus, I enjoy spending time with friends, watching movies, and playing volleyball. On campus, I’m involved in research, I give campus tours, I work with communications in my dorm, and, of course, I work at ND Listens. I studied abroad in Rome the summer after my freshman year and am studying in London currently, so unfortunately I’m missing football season, though it’s (somehow) worth it. My favorite ND memory is my first football game as a freshman. Go Irish!
